Gary Vaynerchuk: Dallas! (crowd cheers)
You know I'm paying attention to
what people are talking about and what they care about. I know this video is
airing on the Facebook fan and I’m aware that
tens of thousands, maybe thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands
of people are going to see me right now for the first time.
Chris Yates: 1.3 million on the Verizon Facebook page. Gary Vaynerchuk: Very nice, you know so for
me it's kind of like
you know I always want to give, it’s paid forward.
I write books and I talk and I give away my concepts because I've been able
to build 60 million dollar a year businesses and I want other people to because I’m not able to get to every business.
I believe that every person in this room is in the eyes and ears business. Now I want every person who watches this right now to realize
that there is a really changing world out there. Look at what you're doing right this
second, you are consuming a video on a Facebook Fan Page. Let me tell you that ten years ago. You are like what's
the internet, what's video, what's Facebook? So the worlds changing,
culture is changing and I’m paying attention to it. We want to story tell, if we’re good, we convert, that’s the game.
I think people need to understand the culture shift.
Look at the way your kids are interacting, the way you are interacting.
You are texting with your grandma, things are getting weird, pay attention.
The web is going social.
Chris Yates: The slogan of Verizon is speed, that’s what you’re talking about. Gary Vaynerchuk: The speed of this
innovation is disrupting things. …Facebook Ads, we are promoting Tweets now.
Communication is being disrupted, we send messages as businesses
through communications. We're going to have to start selling and
be part of these messages not just pounding down the throat of the consumer.
I want to do business with every person in this room for the rest of my life.
Chris Yates: Is This getting fun?
Gary Vaynerchuk: It's always been fun.
It's always been fun, you know I’m an entrepreneur. I have fought to do what I want to do.
It can be a scary risk at first but
my DNA, the way I’m wired. I was selling lemonade when I was four.
This is what I always did. I love people I got really lucky to be living
during the people era.
