Really going over there and seeing what they do with the communities
and the way that they influence life
and also just to integrate myself with the culture and meeting
the youth and you know seeing what they want to do with their life
and seeing how these projects are beneficial.
I think that, just being immersed in the culture for that small bit of time that we're there
and trying to be aware of what's happening and then
how we can inspire others when we come back to really
make a change, make a difference. I'm especially excited about learning about the
various cultures within the communities, within
African, and being able to compare them to
our life here in Canada.
I think just understanding day-to-day kind of
simple things. You know what their dreams are for the future,
what their hopes are and how they plan on getting there. How they interact with other girls, with other
people in the community, also what they're hoping for
what their plans are for the future , their hopes, their dreams.
Anything that they are willing to share.
I think a big part of this trip is being aware of the International community.
Being aware of what's happening in Africa and how things
are over there how they're different from back in Canada and really
taking whatever learned over there taking the inspiration from the people and
from the culture,
bring it back here and telling my story, telling
everyone what i've seen and the experiences that i've had and how that can influence people
to
you know better our local community and then
give back locally and globally to the cause for women and girls
cuz it's really important.
