Hi, my name is Lefty at 1603 Tattoos in Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this
is tattoo care. When your tattoo is healing, you want to avoid anything rubbing off on
it as far as depending on where your tattoo is, the clothing. Say if you have one on your
arm, you can actually roll your sleeves up and that way you are not irritating your tattoo.
The more irritation you give to your tattoo the more it's going to peel hard; just be
real careful with that. Also with any type of clothing that you have that is too tight
on it, can suffocate it as well. The one thing that you don't want to do is very important
is to force off any scabbing. The clothing will do that so the less you have smothering
your tattoo the better it's going to heal. So just don't suffocate it with any clothing
cause you want it to look good. A lot of questions I get is "hey if we sweat because of work
or exercise, sweat is fine it's not going to hurt it when you're sweating. But just
keep it clean, it's sweat so far, just wash it down if you need to and be careful with
that.
