On the road, towards the quays...
On the horizon, one can see red roofs...
Welcome to Sandulesti Commune!
Once in the locality, I see children on the street...
Where do they keep coming from? What are they doing?
Why aren't they hiding from the heat?
They're coming from that yellow building... What could it be?
It's Sandulesti Public Library.
Before going in, I go across the parking lot...
At the entrance, a rummy game was just about to start.
One of the players puts his pieces on the board.
Each looks at his own board, maybe, just maybe they'll win!
One of the boys finished arranging the pieces...
Joyfully, he shows the others: he's sure about winning!
Once inside, at the end of a long hall, I see something else...
A chess board waiting for its wisemen!
And then I heard the bustle...
The library was filled with pre-schoolers!
Some children were modelling plasticine into all kinds of shapes...
Others kept thinking "how did he do that?"
In another part of the room the children learn about the art of cutting paper...
They listen carefully, then try it out...
The plasticine starts to get shapes too...
Other children handle the brush...
Here's a peewee who doesn't know what traces to leave on the paper yet...
He chooses his color and starts to leave blue traces slowly...
"What else should I paint?"
"I know, a sun!"
She takes the brush, a little paint too...
And then starts leaving yellow marks...
A circle warms the paper suddenly...
The little one smiles at the beauty of her painting...
I ask a little boy "What are you painting?"
He answers "Something..."
"Something? A car?"..."No"..."A hill?"..."Nooooo, a hill!"
In the meantime a teacher approaches and asks the boy...
"What are you painting? A field?"..."No, a hill", comes the answer quickly...
They painted
They molded
They cut with their scizzors...
The result?
Green hills with a yellow sun on top
Multicolored flowers, small and big...
Paper people, guardians of the creations...
Boats and oceans...
"Enough, children"
We're preparing for rehearsals...
Tomorrow we have our festivity!
