I'm Eric Lanigan I'm an attorney in Winter Park. I want to speak to you for a couple
a minutes about our experience in working with The Marketing Square and our experience
with working with the Internet in general. And I guess I should say that our history
with the Internet began as a disaster. It seemed to me just a place where we were throwing
thousands of dollars every month and nothing happened.
Finally I reached the point where I said either shut the whole thing down and do things as
I did back in the '80s and '90s or make a commitment to go all out. And I gotta tell
you I started out with a pessimistic outlook on where we would go and I can say I've been
nothing but overwhelmed with the success and the different attitude of everything we saw
vs. what we saw before. Following the direction from Rebekah and the others with Marketing
Square, we've gone into doing videos where we're having now videos seen different videos
by seven, eight, ten thousand people. We've gotten clients from as far away as Hong Kong
and Spain from people who own property in Florida. I can't tell you how many times we've
also had the reinforcement of the website where it is say someone who has been referred
to us in the traditional way, a former client suggested they come and see us. Well as we
all know in the world today before we do anything we go Google someone and we go to the website
we go on the Internet we go on and we look at the store or the doctor or the lawyer and
kind of see who we are. And I have had people repeatedly come in and tell me that one of
the reasons they were here, was when they went to the website and what they saw and
how it can be distinguished from what I would call sort of the standard off the shelf legal
website and I've had people who were in the marketing arena, in fact I had one client
who come to us by doing a Google search and she does somewhat the same work as The Marketing
Square does. And she came to us because she said the appearance of the website and the
way it was put together, she said after watching it she thought: these guys have got it together.
That's who I want. And I didn't tell her that we really didn't have anything to do very
much with what was on the website, we just sort of did what was suggested, but that's
the kind of positive feedback that we've gotten and continued to get.
So it is not only a source of new clients but it's also a sort of reinforcer for people
that have come to us by the traditional means through referrals.
Well, in the old days, you know well that person came in and we had what we call the
kick the tires meeting. They evaluated us and we evaluated them. Well the reality of
the world today is that to a great extent the Internet has replaced that. Because a
lot of those prospective clients, you never know about them. But they got your name and
then they go on the Internet and then they decide whether or not it's worth it to take
the time to come to your office and meet with you.
When they go on that Internet you're on your first impression. That Internet site that
you've put together is your first meeting with the client and you've got to make sure
that you've distinguished yourself. And so we decided early on in this process that we
were either going to do it completely, one hundred percent the way it ought to be so
that when someone looks at that website, they go, "Wow, I want to go to that office, I want
to meet with those guys.
And if you're not willing to do that then I would almost say don't bother to do anything.
As a personal trainer, I've been in business over 20 years, I've never had to advertise.
I've never had a website, so I'm such an old school, I just didn't think that you would
get that much traffic through a website and I always thought it's just by referrals and
you know if you go to the gym I just give someone my business card and I'd get clients
that way. Well, you know I decided I really would like to advertise somewhere because
the economy got bad about four years ago and I had to relocate my business I went to Rebekah
and I explained to Rebekah what was happening and she basically took over my website and
recreated something phenomenal for me that is an amazing website. And now I'm getting
at least three to four e-mails each day about my website and how they heard about me and
that they're looking for a personal trainer.
Honestly, I really didn't think that was possible so I really think the website has helped me
greatly and the person before Kaitlin, the one that i was training, she found me through
my website. And I never would have found Kaitlin and helped her with her goals to be a competitor
and her health goals and her fitness goals if she didn't find me through my website.
So I feel that Rebekah did an incredible job with designing my website and not just designing
my website but keeping up each month with social media.
Again, I am not into social media, I am not into Facebook, I am not into Twitter, but
the way she coded it and the way she did it is something that she keeps up with once a
month, making sure that I get enough traffic and it's her job. And I gave it, it's in her
hands and she did an incredible job with my website.
Hi I'm Marian Huet of Love and Hope Adoptions of Florida and Pennsylvania. In October of
2012 I met Rebekah of The Marketing Square and I had been interviewing different companies
to see who could design a new website for us. We had an old design that was very dark
and not user-friendly. We were paying monthly fees to Google to try to get traffic to our
website, a year and a half, two years went by, went buy and we had no customers from
that. So from all the folks we interviewed I thought that Rebekah was very honest, very
knowledgeable and straight forward and was very interested. Her enthusiasm came through
as to her vision for what she wanted to do for our website.
Her team was able to create a very user-friendly website. It's very bright it has social media
now, we have started to get some input from folks and everyone seems to love the new website.
It has a lot of knowledge on there and they set it up in such a way that I can go in there
daily, weekly, monthly, whenever I want to to when I want to maintain and update it for
me. Rebekah's been fabulous in terms of meeting with me for months weekly and now, most recently
monthly. And everytime we meet I am taught new things that I can do to the website to
maintain it to keep it up to date so that the search engines can find it. We are no
longer paying Google monthly fees and we're just very excited the clients are excited
and everyone just seems to have praises about our website.
Hi this is Byron Ruiz from Bymar Shoes in Orlando. Today I'm going to talk about my
good friend and big, big helper Rebekah Brown from The Marketing Square. I met Rebekah a
couple years ago when I had no clue about the Internet. So I got lucky that one of my
customers recommended her and that's the way that we met. From the very beginning she's
been a tremendous help, very patient with a person like me who has no idea of technology.
I appreciate it so much. She's very detailed in her work, very professional. And I can't
say enough. Thanks to her and her team at The Marketing Square for all the great work
they put into my business and thanks so much I recommend anytime for you guys out there
to all them, give them a shot they are fantastic, you will not be sorry. Thank you Rebekah from
Bymar Shoes in Orlando.
