Sayedna, we would like to first say congratulations on your first year as Pope.
In the beginning of the past year before you took the Papacy in the See of St. Mark, your holiness had many visions for the service in area of evangelism.
Even through all that has happened in the country in the past period, what can we say has been accomplished from these visions? And what can we expect in the coming year?
First, I would like to thank our God that He chose our weak selves for this great responsibility. And despite all that has occurred in the country, God has provided many things have been accomplished or developed. There are still many dreams and visions left and there is a long path for them, but we can say maybe 40-50% of them have been accomplished.
The best dream that has been accomplished is the organization in our actions for the
whole Church. From the smallest like a single Sunday School class to the largest one, a
diocese... Organization. Organization, I believe, is the life of the Church, because our Lord
Jesus Christ taught us everything. When he fed the multitude, he had them sit down in
groups of 50. He had followers but he had 12 disciples. The disciples after they lost
one, continued the organization and added another, Matthias. Organization. Organization
inside the Church. Our rites and rituals have a lot of organization. The bishop knows his
role, the priest knows his role, the deacon knows his role... Organization.
The Church has grown a lot over the years and spread through out the world so we have
to take heed to organization. So this is the best, most important thing that has been developing over
the last year. For example, for
a monastery to continue
without
a leader (abbot) is not a good thing. A leader for the monastery, it's necessary! Diocese
without a shepherd is also not good. And so on, things like
this
in the church.
