Jamie: Hi, Iím Jamie and welcome to clean. Today I have Deanne with me and Deanne has
agreed to give a testimony based on our time together. And so, Hi Deanne. Thanks for joining
me.
Deanne: Thank you for inviting me.
Jamie: Yes, of course. Now I guess to get started, could you just give others that might
be watching this video a summary of your symptoms and your journey?
Deanne: Okay. Well, Iíve been having, actually, symptoms for a lot longer than I had even
thought before meeting with you I realized I had symptoms, they diagnosed me with fibromyalgia
probably 15 years ago or maybe it was more than that and I just kind of ignored the doctors
diagnosis because I decided to just live with the pain and then about 3 months ago I broke
out in hives. (1:00) And I went to the doctor and I went through 3 rounds of steroids and
that didnít do anything for me. I went back to the doctor again and she decided I should
go on antihistamines and I was on 6 times the normal dose of antihistamines and I was
taking Benadryl.
Jamie: Wow.
Deanne: Which meant I was basically sleeping 24 hours a day.
Jamie: Sure.
Deanne: And I didnít have a life. The hives were taking over my life and I had lost my
job so I wasnít doing anything and then I met you. And you had me fill out that questionnaire
and I put all my symptoms down and then when we spoke I had mentioned the thrush, which
I had kind of forgotten about and thatís when it hit the nail on the head, which you
had said. And decided that I probably had a yeast problem. So you had me go on the yeast
cleanse and since then I feel like a completely new woman, a new person. (2:07)I have a life,
I donít have hives, I donít have pain, my joints donít hurt, my pressure points donít
hurt, I bound up and down the stairs, as my mom puts it and I just feel young and vibrant
again.
Jamie: So your fatigues lifted
Deanne: Yes.
Jamie: Your hives are really no longer there.
Deanne: I get them once in a great while, I take a Zyrtec and they immediately go away,
but I donít have them everyday. I only get a couple, if that. Before when I had them
my whole body was covered. And now I just, there are none to speak of.
Jamie: So your symptoms have improved pretty drastically and youíve been on the cleanse,
what now, 7 weeks?
Deanne: Yes.
Jamie: Okay. I was trying to do the math (3:00) today and I thought it had been about that
length of time. So you have about another 5 weeks left for sure and then weíll kind
of see where youíre at and hopefully youíre in the clear.
Deanne: Yes. I feel great.
Jamie: Thatís good.
Deanne: You saved my life.
Jamie: Now, can you talk a little bit more about when you, well youíre still on the
yeast cleanse, but when you initially started the yeast cleanse what symptoms did you experiences
because people might be wondering do I get headaches?
Deanne: It was rough for me, but you warned me about it. We had a conversation about it
and you did tell me what that was going to be like. I did have headaches, extreme fatigue,
with me I had pretty bad body aches too, my whole body just ached, um I had some nauseousness,
but I didnít get sick. (4:00) Um, my hives did get I donít know if I want to say worse,
but they were pretty bad.
Jamie: They flared up.
Deanne: They did. And
Jamie: Restless legs.
Deanne: Restless legs, they were pretty bad, but those are gone. Iím not having any problems
with that anymore.
Jamie: So how long did those symptoms last?
Deanne: For me it was a good 2 weeks, but as you said thatís a little bit longer than
normal.
Jamie: Yup.
Deanne: But we discussed that I was pretty bad.
Jamie: Ya, on average itís like 3-7 days we discussed, but then you contacted me around
Day 8 or 9 and telling me you still had headaches.
Deanne: And I was still struggling and of course I also made the mistake of taking some
Excedrin for the headache and there was caffeine in there, which kind of set off my hives a
little bit too. We did have a lot of contact in those 2 weeks too so nothing that happened,
it wasnít a surprise. (5:00) Nothing was a surprise for me because you kept in contact
with me and we had talked about it ahead of time too so I was ready for it and I was positive
about the outcome and I knew that something had to give and I was very positive about
this.
Jamie: Your were very positive. I could tell you had a lot of hope, um, cuz you didnít
feel like anyone else had really given you hope. Youíd seen a lot of different people
trying to figure out whatís going on and nobody knew so just that fact that this was
something that we could try.
Deanne: And I knew I could have gone to an allergist and spent thousands and thousands
of dollars on the tests, but I also knew that from other people that I had talked to that
they didnít get any relief from that so I wanted to try something different and I had
heard about you (6:00) through my chiropractor so I thought you know I need to get healthy
and I need to work on other areas of my life too.
Jamie: Well Iím glad you did.
Deanne: I am too.
Jamie: So can you compare your quality of life before the cleanse vs. now?
Deanne: Oh, itís completely different. Before the cleanse I never left the house, very rarely
did I leave the house. Either I would wake up in the morning and I would have hives all
over my face, my eyes would be swollen shut, my lips would be swollen probably double the
size; I would be covered in hives. Iíd have huge welts all over my body and I would be
itching so bad that I couldnít even stand it. I couldnít wear jeans because if they
would even tighten up a little bit (7:00) Iíd be miserable. Um, I would have to wear
very loose fitted clothes so I would usually be in sweats or something like that if it
was cold. Things like that. Or Iíd have to take a Benadryl which would pretty much knock
me out and Iíd be sleeping. After the cleanse, I was able to wear normal clothing, jeans
and things like that, I would leave the house, I would meet friends, start actually getting
out of the house and doing things.
Jamie: So you could live again.
Deanne: I would live again. Right.
Jamie: Versus just sleeping your life away, like you said at least confining yourself
to the house.
Deanne: Right. And I was able to stop taking the Benadryl. I havenít taken a Benadryl
since after the cleanse. After I was able to get rid of the hives. Even when I get a
small outbreak I donít have to take the Benadryl. (8:00) Like I said I can take a Zyrtec and
theyíre gone within an hour.
Jamie: So you can make plans now and fulfill those obligations versus taking it minute
by minute.
Deanne: Well and thatís another thing. I couldnít make a commitment to do anything
because usually Iíd have to cancel.
Jamie: So what advice do you have for others that might be having symptoms similar to the
ones you were having?
Deanne: My advice would be to find a nutritionist. And or do some research online before you
go running to the doctor. Um, doctors, I had to find out the hard way that doctors donít
always have the answers, that prescriptions and medications arenít always the answer.
I mean, donít get me wrong (9:00) they do help a lot of things and illnesses, but they
donít always have the answers and sometimes it is the foods that we are putting in our
bodies that are causing some of the things that are happening.
Jamie: They either cause our symptoms to worsen or cause them to get better.
Deanne: Right. Exactly.
Jamie: So, I guess in wrapping it up can you describe our initial session because people
might be wondering if theyíre contemplating oh, should I contact Jamie or shouldnít I?
Maybe you could give them a quick synopsis of what our initial session looked like just
to put their minds at ease.
Deanne: Well Iím not going to lie, I was a little bit nervous. And I think Jamie could
tell that when I walked in, but I got a very warm, welcome from you. Um, and just a warm
smile and I was at ease (10:00) the first time I laid eyes on you. As soon as I walked
in your head popped up and you smiled at me and I thought this is going to be fine. Whatís
there to be afraid of really? And after we talked it was obvious you knew what your were
talking about. And every time you mentioned something, I thought that is me to a tee.
I mean you just explained everything that I had been through for so many years and you
just like picked me apart and knew exactly what I had been going through for so many
years. Not just the hives or the thrush or the things I had just recently been through,
but so many things Iíd been through for so many years. All the aches and pains that Iíd
had. I mean everything. It was like you were reading my mind.
Jamie: So did you feel like it all came together for you too, it all made sense.
Deanne: Definitely.
Jamie: Like flipping a light switch.
Deanne: Ya, it was like I was being reunited with my long lost best friend who knew everything
about me.
Jamie: Awe, thanks. I got a warm feeling when I met you too. You were very sweet, very bubbly.
Well, do you have anything else youíd like to share with everybody?
Deanne: The truth of the matter is, I said this before but you truly did save my life
and Iím not even kidding. I feel the best I have in so many years I canít even explain
how wonderful it is. (11:33)
