One of the common mistakes people experience, while learning how to do the hurricane to
fakie, is that some times you may find it hard to generate enough speed to make it all
the way up to the top, and to get into the feeble, the 270, and all the way into the
feeble fakie position. What you have to remember is that this trick requires a lot of speed,
to get you all the way to the top, and especially get you past that point where your wheel hits
the top, and you hit the feeble position. So, this is going to take a lot of speed,
to make it all the way up on top, and to gather the momentum needed to get all the way around.
The other thing that people find difficult, is some times when you get all the way around,
you'll find that you lock into rock and roll position, and you find it difficult to get
this wheel, right here, above the coping. So what you want to do is, swing it really
fast at the last minute, and that will allow you to get around, and lock that wheel in
that position, and then go to fakie. The other problem that you may experience, while doing
this trick, is, it tends to some times tens to keep going with your body back side. So
the way to fight the over rotation, is to stick your legs out, and point into the feeble
position when you get all the way around. And then your body is already on the inside
of the ramp, or still above the transition, and not really above the platform of the ramp.
Your front leg at that point should be straight, and that is how you're going to end up getting
into the feeble fakie position, and making sure that your front wheels clear the coping.
So remember, if you're inside of the ramp for most of this trick, it'll help you out
a lot for pivoting around, and locking into this position, and bringing it into fakie.
And these are just some of the common mistakes with the hurricane fakie.
