I'm going to save you $400 and you're going to love me for it...Hey thanks for watching
iTonyTech. Here's some tech news I found interesting. A lot of hacking in the world going on. Yahoo's
servers were hacked recently. Anybody still use Yahoo Mail? If you have a gmail, did you
know that there's a way to tell if you've been hacked? Using a desktop browser, log
into your gmail account. Scroll down to the bottom of your inbox and look for a link called
details. Click that. A pop-up window will come up and show you a detailed list of the
last ten times you or maybe anyone else has accessed your account. Not only that, it will
show you not only when your account was accessed but even how it was viewed. If it looks like
something you didn't do, like checking your email at 3 in the morning, you may have been
hacked. Change your password! By the way we as a people are horrible at passwords. We
make them easy. Cuz we're lazy. Stop being lazy. I use Last Pass. It stores my passwords
and will generate tough passwords for me. I just have to remember one password. And
Last Pass remembers around 50 different passwords for me. They're not paying me for this, I
wish they were, but it's a great program and it's FREE.
If you're like me, overweight and funny looking with big ears and bad vision, you're always
looking for a come up. Even with software. Well I have a list of 50 open source replacements
for REALLY REALLY expensive software. Some you may know about, Some, maybe not. You know
Photoshop? Kind of pricey. But Gimp is a really good replacement if there' dust in your wallet.
How about Microsoft Office? Let me save you $500 and tell you about Open Office dot org.
Both Gimp and Open Office are FREE! Look for the link down below.
How about a $150 video editing program for FREE? For both Mac and Windows. Hit Film Express
is available for FREE until February 4th. Then it goes back to $150. It's a pretty cool
program and is a solid step up from Windows Movie Maker and iMovie. Check out the link
below. Again not a paid endorsement.
Looking for a FREE photo app that's really good? Check out Pop A Graph. It's normally
99 cents but is FREE to download until February 5th. It works on your iPhone or iPad and lets
you mask objects or use a 3D type effect. You can share to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter
and Tumblr or save to your camera roll. It comes with three filters and you can buy more
if you want for $1.99.
That's all I got. If you'd give this a thumbs up, that would be great and subscribing makes
us family. Leave a comment down below and thanks for watching iTonyTech.
