There's no doubt that the Ylvisåker-brothers have taken Los Angeles by storm.
Something they proved when they came here to sign books. The line was long with eager fans.
But Ylvis is looking forward to go home to celebrate Christmas.
What's sad, is that we get used to this crazy world, after a month. Things happen all the time.
We're not like woo-hoo anymore
Luckily, we're going home soon, back to normal life. It's going to be wonderful.
How's the Christmas-shopping going? You've been travelling a lot?
There will be books. We're only going to give books this year.
Yes, we've been hanging around for 10 minutes after every book-signing to buy some new books.
You will have some time off now. What are your plans for Christmas?
Celebrate Christmas! In general -- celebrate Christmas. Christmas-tree, gifts, porridge.
Have you picked out a tree yet?
Yes, I have a Christmas-tree at home.
I'm not there yet, but we're renovating the house. I'm going home to do some carpentry.
Have to wait and see if we can move in before Christmas.
The song "What does the fox say" has topped the music-lists all over the world.
Which has caused a lot of travelling for Bård and Vegard.
They've been touring Europe, USA and Asia.
When hysteria lay, the boys came with a children's book.
We started talking about it. Before the song, the video was released on YouTube, really.
- We didn't know about the extent - This came up as a stupid idea
"Wouldn't it be fun to make this great merchandise product to a song that failed?"
That was the idea.
At the same time we discovered it was a good children's book. Good lyrics for the children.
We did send an e-mail to the illustrator Svein Nyhus, and he jumped on the idea.
The humor was good quality. The good quality of the book was the point.
Just like the song . A bad idea, but it's well produced.
- Do you mean your singing? - No, I was thinking of the book. Or the production.
Before the book went to press, it was important to test it with their own children.
Yes, I read it, well showed them the book. I wanted to see the children's reaction to it.
I didn't have a copy, just on the iPad.
And the reaction was quite OK.
It's not made for iPad. It's a book you have in your hands.
And I think the Norwegian version is a lot better.
Be quiet -- don't tell the Americans.
That's because we didn't have time! Everything has happened so fast!
The first time we contacted Svein Nyhus was in late August.
We asked him; we want to make a children's book. How fast can we do it?
He told us that's not possible.
" It will take at least six months. Dealing with a publisher and editor..." And we told him: we're going to make this!
And we made it.
You've been visiting a lot of American TV-shows. Which one do you remember the most? Which one is most memorable?
Of all the shows, with millions of viewers?
No doubt, Fallon. Because he is so close to what we do. We do the same stuff. And they took it very seriously.
We were taken seriously. And that was fun. They did a good job. It was cool to perform there.
The whole trip... it's very hard for us to pick out the highlights.
Everything has had its facets.
What happens now? What will happen after New Year's? People want a sequel, an album, and maybe more books.
What are your plans?
People have to calm down!
This is going too fast. This is going too fast.
We don't know. You have to wait and see. We've been pretty occupied lately.
First we had to finish our season and work with that. And now we have to look around and decide what's next.
- Have a nice trip back home. Merry Christmas! - Thank you very much
