John Foster, plumber
I am a licensed plumber.
When I was growing up in Montreal, at 10 years old, I watched the Olympic Village being built for the 1976 Olympics.
Over the years, I watched it transform into something else: a neighbourhood.
Now as an adult and a tradesperson, I'm building a neighbourhood for Toronto.
I'm excited to watch Canada excel in the Pan Am Games, expose Toronto and the GTA to the world.
The Pan Am Games show the pride we have in our city; they lock in the entire nation of Canada.
When the Pan Am Games are here in 2015, I can be a person who says, "I put my time into this," and it’s a sense of accomplishment. I'm proud.
I'm a proud tradesperson.
It's a new beginning. It’s something to be happy about.
