Welcome to Uncharted Thoughts This episode is entitled "Lone wolf cubs" Players new to
the multiplayer tend to follow a play style resembling that of the uncharted campaign.
Slow paced cover to cover movement, basic camera work and less than fluid aiming, are
a few of the most common traits. Everyone has to start somewhere though and even a player
with little experience can be a useful asset to their team by following a few simple tactics
and strategies. Your aim at this stage is to learn how to evade confrontation and reduce
the amount of times you die per match. This will help to promote more of a support role
within your team. By repressing your desire for kills, attention can be directed to the
underlying elements of the game, such as map awareness, traversing your environment and
using your loadouts effectively. Once these aspects have been internalised, then you can
concentrate on improving your shot. Most clans focus on dominating spawn points, power weapons
and high traffic areas. As they patrol the map a line of sight is kept between them,
creating a fishing net effect, that catches unsuspecting prey with ease. By staying in
low traffic areas you re more likely to pass through the net. These areas on the map will
become your safe haven and provide better odds against enemy scouts that pass by. Now
what I'm describing isn't about camping in a corner, you want to be constantly moving
and changing location, to reduce the chances of getting into a compromised position. This
is heightened by the fact that if you do manage to take out a passing enemy scout, that area
then becomes void since reinforcements will arrive to rat you out. So plan ahead and move
to another low traffic area after each successful confrontation. Loadout switching is about
using your respawn time to analyse the current situation and adapt your build accordingly.
To practise this technique use boosters that only activate under certain circumstances.
That way you will get into the habit of changing your loadout depending on whether the requirements
of those boosters have been met or not. Our default loadout is designed to promote starter
routes to the nearest power weapon. The power hunter booster will show you where the nearest
power weapons are and Endurance will enable you to sprint further, increasing your chances
to be the first to pick one up. Apart from the obvious increase in fire power, taking
control of these weapons will reduce the likelihood of clans wiping your whole team out, which
would result in the delights of being spawn trapped for the remainder of the match. Now
it is more than likely you will die a lot against higher skilled players so there s
two booster that will help in this regard. When you die once, equip our second loadout
choice which contains "come here" as this will show you the player who killed you last.
This booster is most effective when killed by an enemy who is dominating the match, as
they will still be alive when you respawn. Our final loadout is to be used when you ve
died multiple times in a row. The "let me see" booster is a powerful tool which will
allow you to get your bearings back after a few unlucky encounters. With the added assistance
of boosters that help locate enemies on the map. A weapon with a call out mod is the perfect
companion to share that information with the rest of your team. Spider s M9 unlocked at
level 1 is a great choice for new players as it s the easiest of the long guns to aim
and has a call out mod built in. Now for you to utilise that call out mod effectively,
treat medium to long range confrontations like you would a reconnaissance mission. As
sometimes the best strategy is to stay at a safe distance, mark a few enemies and when
backup does arrive you will have a better chance of taking out the enemy threat. Disruption
is the last piece in our puzzle that adheres to a support role The first benefit is that
enemies affected by disruption will have a confused symbol over their heads, making them
easier to spot and it even through walls. The second benefit is that those affected
wont be able to see name tags, which may result in them firing at their own team, offering
you some glorified target practice. One last tip is to enable shoulder switching in the
options menu to gain the ability to aim over your left shoulder as well as your right.
