Even one of the most powerful men in the world gets time off over Christmas. President Barack
Obama has touched down in his birthplace of Hawaii with his family, ready to begin his
two-week holiday. The family's two dogs, Sunny and Bo, also joined them aboard Air Force
One. The break comes at the end of a challenging year for the president, who admits he had
ups and downs in 2013. Of which some of the downs included a botched health care roll
out and stalled legislative initiatives. However, Obama was all smiles as he greeted locals
on the tarmac in Honolulu to wish them a Merry Chirstmas.
How are you? Merry Christmas.
Currently, Obama doesn't have any public events scheduled while he's on holiday and has, on
previous trips, enjoyed visits to restaurants and rounds of golf. But he'll be hoping he
won't have to cut his vacation short like last year, when he was forced to return to
Washington the day after Christmas in a final effort to solve the fiscal cliff crisis.
