Hey how you doing out there! So the founder of the VR technology known as the oculus rift
has said the following about frame rates on the systems or the PC. Here's what Lucey had
to say. VR is going to need much higher frame rates than consoles, although even for
consoles or traditional PC games, I dont think 30fps is smart, Luckey said. Its
not a good artistic decision, its a failure. and you know what? He's absolutely right!
He is 100% right! Because it's like this. When I get on my PC and I game okay I can
tell how many frames per second I'm getting with my PC frame rate counter. I want that
thing stuck at 60fps. Why? Because I don't use the gamepad Okay. I don't use the Xbox
controller. I don't use that very very rarely will I use that. I use a mouse and a keyboard.
A mouse is a very fast thing! You use it and you point wherever you want to go on the screen.
It's a fast thing! You need fast frame per sound in order for that to keep up. And even
though I hate the oculus rift and I think it's an awful gimmick. It's still very true
that your head can move very fast so you need more than 30fps to stop stuttering and lag
and all that crap. It's a disgrace that the Xbox One and Even the PlayStation 4 are limiting
themselves with 30fps in some games. Not in all games! But it should never deal with 30fps.
It should never be a thing. You want a crisp clean 60fps. I think your eye can only keep
up to 48.8 or something. That's how much your eyes can physically keep up. But your machine
needs that 60fps if you going to do something with fast movement. When your PC gaming you
need that. If not then the screen tears and all that stuff and it doesn't look good. That's
why the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 cap it so much at 30fps because they can't handle
it. it needs to Vsync it at 30. It's because they're under powered systems which I've been
over tons of times already. Their under powered they're not good Don't buy them. Go get a
PC. I say it all the *** time. Go get a PC. But I thought this was pretty interesting
coming form the guy that is the fonder of the oculus rift VR saying 30fps not good 30fps
bad decision 30fps failure. Yep, very true. You need 60fps it is needed period. people
always go OH I want the steady 30fps and not the jumpy 60fps. You know my PC gets a steady
60fps did you know that? It does. The PS4 and Xbox One do not! So that's another thing.
They are just not powerful enough! It's very sad to see that. Especially when their running
something like Tomb Raider the definitive edition. Which is not very um power heavy?
And it can't keep the frame rates? That's uh sad sauce! That's what that is sad sauce!
You know you can yell at me about it. Whatever you're going to do in the comment section.
720p 30fps yada yada yada. The fact of the matter is it's 2014 games need to run at 60fps
games need to run at 1080p it's that simple it really truly is. But alright I'll see you
guys later!
