It's been a long journey, and I'm so
thankful that we're here.
In a post-9/11 New York and a post-9/11 America, we just
need something joyful and full of life and that reminds us of
the core of all these parables and the core of all these
teachings, regardless of your religious affiliation.
And I think that's what's very, very special about it is
we had all new arrangements.
So the core of all of his score is there, and intact, of
course, and then Michael Holland did these unbelievable
arrangements that were really tailored to
each individual actor.
We start the prologue a cappella.
It's a huge challenge.
The show is a challenge, a physical challenge, as it is,
but then to start it off and to sing his score and all
these arrangements that have become so thick and intricate.
It's amazing.
