Hi, if you're looking to set up a YouTube Private Channel, stay tuned and watch this
short video and I'll show you exactly what you can do.
Hi, there, David Walsh here, from DavidWalshOnline.com and in this very short video, I'm actually
not going to show you how to set up a private YouTube channel.
Now, the reason I'm not going to do this is because I can't. YouTube have changed the
setup on YouTube.com so that you're no longer able to setup a private channel.
But, what you can do is, you can actually, set all your videos to 'Private' so that you're
either hiding them completely and letting certain people see them or that you're hiding
the fact that they're invisible and people can still see them.
Now, this is very quick and easy to setup, so, let's head up to the computer and I'm
going to show you, exactly, how to do it. Ok. So, here we are in 'Video Manager', so
you can select all of your videos, all at once if you want to make all of them 'Private',
or you can select each one individually, depending on what you want to do.
So, in this case we're going to take the two videos here, and from the actions dropdown,
all you need to do is go to here to, where it says privacy and then you can set your
videos to public, which they are now, you can set them unlisted, which they're 'Hidden',
or you can set them to 'Private'. So, let's set them to 'Private'. And there
you go. We have our videos set to 'Private'. So, that's how you quickly and easily set
your videos to 'Private'. Now, if you wanted to go and change one back
to public you can do so again, just select that. From the dropdown, select the option
that you want and then, just click on whichever option that you'd like.
So, there you go, that is how you quickly and easily set your videos to 'Private' or
unlisted, so that they're not viewed on your channel.
So, you can see how quickly and easy it is to set up your videos as 'Private' or ''Hidden''
using the 'Video Manager'. So, rather than looking for the button to make your channel
private, you set your videos to 'Private' or 'Hidden', instead.
