Protesters march to Supreme Constitutional Court to demand isolation law enforcement
Karim Turkey, Member April 6 Youth Movement
We came out today to give the Constitutional Court a warning..
..that it better give a fair ruling that satisfies the people..
..as at the moment there is great public discontent..
..over the failure to enforce the political isolation law,
.. the domination of power by a certain current,
..and the failure to transfer power
We are also against the nonsense that took place..
..with regards to the Constituent Assembly
We are waiting for the Egyptian Judiciary,
..which its fairness we commend,
..to be fair in tomorrow's ruling
We respect the court's rulings..
..and no doubt we will support them
We are not against the judiciary in any way
However, if the ruling does not satisfy the people,
..then there is no doubt things will be different
Ramy Sayed, Member April 6 Youth Movement
We came today to organize a rally..
..to the Supreme Constitutional Court..
..to pressure them into enforcing the political isolation law..
..on Ahmed Shafiq and to prevent him..
..from competing in the runoff election
We have been exerting this pressure for some time now..
..and today we will exert pressure in hopes..
..that the isolation law will be enforced tomorrow
We, the April 6 Youth Movement have coordinated our efforts..
..with a number of coalitions and movements,
..such as the Maadi Revolutionary Front
Hussein Melad, Brother of Martyr Mohamed Melad
When we mention the martyrs,
..the Egyptin people should stand up and salute them..
..as these are the people are the reason..
..behind the freedom we now enjoy..
I would like to tell the Muslim Brotherhood to join us,
..as the martyrs allowed you to reach..
..the parliamentary positions you are in
I would also like to tell the people..
..that they will not taste the bitterness unless they swallow it
Don’t stay at home..
..until your son comes home dead or killed..
..or is detained
Supreme Constitutional Court, Cairo
Come join us so things don't reach that level
This is our country..
..the martyrs are our brothers..
..and the detainees are our brothers
