Hello, my name is Andrew Campbell, welcome to AC Silver.
This fine and impressive, large antique George III English sterling silver salver is quite
an exceptional example.
It has been made by the renowned London silversmith Hester Bateman.
It has a plain, circular form.
The surface is embellished with a fine and impressive, central oval bright cut engraved
floral motif and leaf bordered vacant cartouche.
The raised border is encircled with an impressive band of bead decoration to the rim.
It is supported by four bracket style feet, embellished with further bead ornamentation.
All the decoration is very crisp and sharp.
Full hallmarks are struck to the underside, and are very clear.
At a weight of 62 troy ounces, this salver is an excellent gauge of silver.
The highlighted features of this exceptional salver make it one that can be sold with my
highest recommendations.
If you require any further information or assistance regarding this quite magnificent
salver, please do not hesitate to contact us via telephone or email.
