Hi, this is Sean Hobson, and what we're talking about right now is how to become a good fundamental
shooter off the move. One of the cuts that we want to talk about right now is the middle
cut or the side cut. And what we're talking about is getting open after you pass it. A
lot of times guys will pass the ball in the offense and they'll stand. But one of the
best ways that you can get open is after you pass, try to relocate or cut. And so what
we're talking about here is when the pass is made from Blake, he's going to pass the
ball to me, and then what he's going to do is he's going to set up his defender by taking
a quick jab step to the inside, and get that defender to drop, then he's going to cut back
to the middle, and this is called a give and go sometimes, where he's going to pass the
ball to me, then he's going to cut, and I'm either going to hit him off the bounce pass
or the chest pass, depending on what. And then from the cut, he'll be able to get inside,
and either drive to the basket or pull up for a jump shot. So we're going to show you
what this kind of looks like with him pulling up for a jump shot here off the cut. Ball,
fake, cut, good. So you see that he gets to the middle, and his defender, after he releases
it, his defender kind of slacks off a little bit, relaxes, looks back at me with the ball,
and he's able to cut right inside his defender, get the ball, and get himself open for the
shot. That can make you a better shooter off the move.
