Hi everyone! Kristina here. Welcome to another card video. Today I'm taking part in the Simon
Says Stamp Stamptember Blog Hop featuring brand new stamps, dies, and stencils. The
stamp set I'm using today is called Trick or Treat. This is one that I designed and,
of course, I included Mannie on it. Mannie is my cat. And in this case, Mannie and the
little puppy are dressed up for Halloween. I'm going to be doing some Distress Marker
watercoloring, so I'm stamping the images in StazOn Jet Black ink. StazOn ink is waterproof,
so it's perfect for watercoloring with Distress Markers. I stamped both images on some Strathmore
watercolor paper. This paper is cut down to 4.5" x 4.5". And as for the greeting, I decided
that I would heat emboss it, since I'm going to watercoloring over the top and the heat
embossing with resist the watercolor and leave behind the greeting. So first prepped the
area with a EK Success Powder Tool. The Powder Tool just prevents embossing powder from sticking
to areas where you haven't stamped. Then I stamped the large "Happy Halloween" greeting
from the stamp set in VersaMark ink. I also decided to take the spider coming down stamp
with some StazOn ink and I stamped that on the side. Then I applied Hero Arts White Embossing
Powder. Shook off the excess and heat set that with my heat tool. Now it's time to start
doing some watercoloring. Like I said before, I am Distress Markers and just a regular watercolor
brush. Now I'm going to turn on some music while I color.
After I finished painting and drying that watercolor piece with my heat tool, I took
a black pen and darkened the dog's nose and eyes because it didn't stamp very well. I
also prepped my card base by scoring some Bazzill Marshmallow cardstock at 4.25" to
make a 4.25" x 4.25" card. The watercolor piece was cut down to 4" x 4" and I adhered
that with some foam adhesive. I then added some detail onto the watercolor painting by
taking a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Pen and coating the cat's cape and mask. I
also took Ranger Glossy Accents and added some shine to the dog's nose and the cat's
mask. That finishes the card for today. I just wanted to give you a heads up that there
