Welcome to a special video issue of The Coin Explorer's Corner.
When this came across the desk today, I just had to do video on this instead of just photos,
because you've got to see this in action.
This is the Perth Mint proof gold and proof silver two coin set, from 2005, that celebrates
the anniversary of the end of World War II.
In America, we have the famous image of the sailor kissing the girl in Times Square. In
Australia, they had The Dancing Man in Sydney, where he was dancing a jig, and was caught
on newsreel footage.
So, the Dancing Man is as familiar in Australia as the sailor kissing the girl is in the US.
The Perth Mint made a limited edition, 750 coins, these are proof gold and proof silver,
but they're lenticular, and they show him moving and dancing, back and forth like this.
Very unique set, from 2005, only 750 made, from the Perth Mint, and it's now available
at Gainesville Coins.
Join us next time, and remember, it's all about the shinies!
