Hello, my name is Benjamin Kott, I work for Google in London
and what we are doing today is a panel debate on Climate Change
and that is a joint debate by CNN International and Google
and on the last two weeks people were able to submit questions and videos on YouTube
on our Raise Your Voice channel
which has been voted by users as well
and the top questions are going to be asked today to a panel of important people from the climate arena
including Kofi Annan, Yvo de Boer...
With thousands of videos, many questions asked, let's carry on and kick off with our first question.
The objective of Raise Your Voice channel or this entire project has been to open up the Cop-15 to the public
because generally has become very difficult for the broad public, especially people not coming in
and participate in that, so it establishes the communication platform.
For the last two months, people were able to send videos
and their thoughts and worries about climate change.
"How did you know how serious the leaders of the world are taking this?"
We think it's very important because this climate change is something that has impact for all of us.
Doesn't matter if developing or developed country, east west, north or south,
but it's a global problem and so everybody globally should be able to participate.
