Hi, it's Allison Czarnecki from Petitelefant.com,
and today I am with my good friend Marie.
I have just gone into her closet and pulled a bunch of pieces
of her clothes, stuff that she wouldn't necessarily think to
put together, things that maybe she's forgotten about in the
back of her closet, combinations she wouldn't normally combine.
So I've pulled together three...
A little bit more dressed up than just T-shirt and sweats --
Which I need.
But still cute and comfortable.
And it's stuff that she has in her closet,
so it's stuff that she's going to wear anyway.
I haven't gone out and bought anything.
We didn't have to spend a dime.
All the pieces of jewelry are hers,
all the shoes are hers -- everything.
So we're going to get you dressed.
All right, we are back, and Marie is wearing this outfit
that -- you've never worn this, right?
I mean, you have the pieces, you just have
never put them together.
No, never would have thought.
I'm kind of loving it.
I like it a lot.
I haven't worn this for a long time because -- I don't know,
I felt like it was -- I don't know,
I feel like the cardigan breaks it up a little bit.
Yeah, so this is a good point.
Marie asked me about the length of the cardigan: is it okay
to have a cardigan that's shorter length than the top?
This is actually a really flattering style, to wear
a shorter blazer or cardigan with a longer top underneath.
It's just a really cute look together.
Yeah, I like it.
The earrings are simple gold hoops.
They're not competing but there's gold in the chain that
it brings out, and then a little tiny skinny studded leather belt
that brings out your waist, and you put it at your natural
waist, and then it breaks up the outfit, and we've got on just
some skinny, dark jeans that will go great with these buckle
boots that are dark, so it keeps the streamline going,
and how adorable are you?
Super cute.
I think it's perfect.
We are back with our second outfit, because
it's a little fancier than Marie would wear every day,
but it's so adorable together.
She has worn this sweater before, and I've not been
a big fan, in fact, I think I said to you,
maybe that's not my favorite sweater.
But we've got this adorable gray little ruffle right here,
so you don't need a necklace.
So this is kind of the statement piece right here,
and then some fun little teardrop earrings.
So not too much here, you know, a little bit of emphasis,
and then a belt, which, Marie is not a belt wearer.
So you put it at your natural waist.
It just -- it emphasizes the female silhouette,
and it looks great.
It matches these black leggings, so the whole outfit is kind of
streamlined, and Marie asked me, is it too much gray?
Well, when you wear a monochromatic outfit,
no matter what color it is -- unless it's white,
then you'll look as big as a tent --
it streamlines your silhouette and makes you look thinner.
But I thought the black was kind of bold, too.
Right, and then it breaks up and it gives you a waist
exactly where your natural waist is.
Even if you don't have a waist, you can use a belt, and not
the skinny one like we had last time, but a thicker belt
that will give the illusion of a waist.
And then these cute buckle boots, this is the second
pair of buckle boots out of your closet.
I don't know what that says, but they're darling.
Super cute outfit.
Yeah, I like a lot.
We'll put it together in the closet and keep it.
All right, this is maybe a little more casual
than the other two.
I think I would wear this... pretty much anywhere.
Yeah, so some boot cut jeans from Gap
that are just a neutral blue.
They're not super dark, they're not super light, they're just
your everyday blue jean with a ribbed tank
that you could pick up anywhere.
It's just a basic ribbed tank with stripes.
So Marie has this thing about stripes.
If you noticed in her first outfit she's wearing
when I showed up today, it's stripes.
And she doesn't need to fight it, and I'm not going to
try to make her change because --
Because I won't.
She won't.
What's the point of trying to?
She loves them, they're kind of her signature,
so leave it, right?
But this is maybe something that you wouldn't put together
with stripes normally.
So the ribbed, with the long gold necklace and the stripes.
So it's still Marie, it still feels normal,
it still feels natural.
It still is something out of her closet, but we mixed it up
a little bit so that it's a little fancier.
Fancy stripes.
Fancy stripes, fancy stripes.
We've got these turquoise little flower bud fabric earrings, so
there is a little pop of color, and then a bracelet that has
just a little pop of turquoise color.
But you know, not too much, just enough to complement.
So three fabulous outfits from the back of Marie's closet,
things she wouldn't normally wear together,
and now maybe you would.
What do you think, daytime?
Yeah, oh yeah.
So stay tuned for more videos.
