The most relevant about it is that...
this issue has been
discussed over and over again.
And people has chosen its representatives in the legislative power.
These representatives created an article in constitution that defends the right to live.
lt's the duty of Supreme court to judge, not to make the laws.
On this case of abortion's legalization once the child has anencephaly.
The abortion defenders are trying to make the Supreme court...
to assume the role of the Congress.
This proposition is not mature enough to be judged.
A bill which tried to legalize abortion was not approved in the congress.
It's not duty of the State to take people's lives.
This is a responsibility that nobody should have.
lt's up to the State to guarantee and defend life.
There must be an analysis and further discussion about it.
Since they say that a child who is born with anencephaly...
is a sub human and has no right to live...
and can kill its mother.
These are all lies according to scientific tests.
lf the Supreme court decides on abortion's legalization.
They will be starting a chain reaction on the legalization of every kind of abortion.
lt is typical in our society to choose the easiest way. . .
and the easiest way is to kill the babies inside their mothers.
So this practice of killing babies in order to keep society the way it is.
This is not fair.
This discussion about unconstitutionality. . .
is totally unnecessary and abusive. . .
and offends the Brazilian people who chose their governors. . .
that approved a clause that can not be modified and defends life.
An official document was sent to the state's attorney office...
asking to the federal prosecutor's office to do a technical analysis. . .
on the maintenance of the judge Marco Aurélio in the anencephaly case.
Since he has been anticipating the results of the judgment on media...
and also of some technical considerations about the case.
I am up for an investigation of all kinds of abortion in Brazil.
For this matter is neglected by the authorities.
Many people practice this crime and nothing has been done.
The government has no moral to defend abortion.
When women still do not have an appropriate health assistance.
There is a great difference between what has been conquered...
and what still needs to be done.
First, there must be a family planning...
and the offering of good life conditions.
And also make these women aware of the consequences of performing an abortion.
There are laws in Brazil but unfortunately,
these laws don't respect the right to live.
Some people defended abortion in Rio de Janeiro
specially in poor areas, for they are the places where the future outsiders are being born.
That has been said by famous personalities.
lncluding people from the executive and legislative power.
When l say that legalizing abortion is something reactionary.
Which gives no right to the babies inside their mothers to live.
And it is a consequence of the reduction of funds to the public services...
like education, health and public security.
The government doesn't want to invest on culture...
which is a way to guide children out of drug traffic.
And that involve children all around Brazil.
Social politics would minimize these children's migration. . .
to the drug traffic.
but instead of doing that...
some politicians prefer to perpetuate the killing of children inside their mothers.
The current government has a favorable position to abortion.
The president is ambiguous when he says...
he is against abortion but there must be a debate about it.
lf the government says that. . .
one million women have performed abortion.
What has the government done about it?
Has the government spoken to each one of these women?
Has it established mechanisms to provide family planning?
Has it established any responsibility on the parents?
Has it analyzed these women's life conditions?
So none of these things are done.
No diagnosis is done to find why these women abort.
The government only uses these data. . .
as the legalization of abortion.
Governmental organs like the health ministry...
have been preaching on favor of abortion in Brazil.
The government spends so much money on the election campaigns.
Why aren't there any advertisements that shows contraceptive ways to women?
lt's easier to defend abortion...
than provide a better medical assistance. . .
or provide a day care so women don't quit their jobs.
So, it's easier to terminate a life,
and to use that as an excuse.
So women submit to abortion in our country.
lt's up to the State to defend life...
and offer education, culture, work,
but first, the fundamental right must be regarded. . .
which is the right to live,
but unfortunately not allowed by doctors and parents.
There are the parliament boards in the congress...
which have been important in standing for politicians against abortion in Brazil.
We have gone through a critical time in the Congress.
When in 2005 we stopped the legalization of abortion.
And that decision was taken over only one vote of difference,
between the ones who were on favor and against abortion.
l'm proud to preside the parliament group which stopped abortion.
