Hi everyone, this is David Kemp with Oaktree Products and today's Talking Powerpoint
will address the Dino-Lite video otoscope.
The Dino-Lite is an easy-to-use, hand-held portable video otoscope that can
connect to a computer using a USB cord.
It comes packaged with its own video capture software, allowing you to capture
images and save them as JPEGs and bitmaps, and it records 2 minute files saved
as AVI files.
Now, there's two versions of the Dino-Lite. On the left we have the original Dino-Lite and
on the right is the high-resolution version.
Although the to operate much the same the high-resolution version comes
equipped with micro-touch settings allowing you to capture and record using the
built-in controls on otoscope
some other differences worth noting between the two:
here we have two images of the same tympanic membrane
the left images taken from the original Dino-Lite and the right by the
high-resolution version
Notice how much larger the field of vision is in the picture on the right
taken from the high-resolution version
furthermore the original Dino-Lite is equipped with
four LED whereas the high-resolution version has six
providing more robust illumination the original Dino-Lite offers
480 pixels while the high-resolution version offers 1024 pixels, for a
clearer, sharper image.
Regardless, both are great options and far cheaper than other commercially
available otoscopes however, the high-resolution Dino-Lite will run about
twice the price of the original
either way the dynamite represents a relatively inexpensive video otoscope
solution for your clinic.
