We're going to walk through doing a bingo organization registration
Go to www.webtax.org, click USE WEBTAX NOW and enter the user ID and password to login. If you do not have an account
you will click "Register Now" button that will take you to the registration page website.
Fill in all the necessary information and create a user ID in a password along with some security questions below you will see your
primary use for the site. You may choose the "Tax: File and Pay" button
and below that are options for receiving e-mails from the Department. Uncheck any you don't wish to receive.
Once you are finished, click the "Continue Button" and
it will take you to a page that will ask you if you would like to continue on into the web site.
If you sign in later, be sure to keep track of your user ID and password. Once you are ready to login you'll
go back to the sign in page and put in your I.D.
and password and click "Sign In".
This will take you to your main page where you can check your messages. From here click "Business Accounts"
and you can view all your accounts which are registered in the Webtax system.
To create an account, click "Add an account to this login".
You'll see the last line "If you want to register a new bingo account click here".
Since we're doing an organization registration we'll choose organization as our type.
Enter all of the information.
Include the address where the bingo games will be conducted.
The mailing address can be the same as the exact address or the location address. Checking the box will fill in the appropriate text boxes.
Click "Save and Continue".
Clicking "Yes" to "Will bingo games be conducted on...premises" it will ask for premises name and registration number.
You will also need to upload a copy of the lease agreement. If that is not the case, check no.
You will need to upload a copy of your bylaws.
It will also ask you if your organization is registered to collect Kansas sales tax. If yes, provide your registration number.
If that is not the case, select "No".
Under your "Type of organizational entity" if you choose
local organization is a nonprofit corporation you'll need to choose a state, incorporation year and upload your incorporation letter.
If it is unincorporated
just choose that box and there is nothing else to complete for that.
lf you click "Local organization is chartered by or affiliated with a state, regional or national organization",
you'll need to give the charter organization's name and upload the charter
and
enter the number of years in existence.
Today we will choose a nonprofit corporation
If your organization does have a tax exemption ruling from the IRS
you will check yes and upload the most recent IRS letter.
If not, click "No".
If your organization has ever been issued a bingo license before click "Yes" and put in the license number. If not click "No".
If your organization has ever been denied a bingo license or had a license revoked click "Yes" and list the reason. If not click "No".
Save and continue.
Here you will list the directors, principal officers and employees. You may manually add each one,
then save them. If you have a list of them in an excel document using the layout
that is provided in the help text,
all the following information
then you may choose the "Upload file" button
and upload that document into the system. You will need to save your excel document as a comma delimited file
in order to upload it to the system.
If you find that one needs to be deleted you may use the check box and click "Delete Selected"
in order to delete that line. If any of the information in the line needs to be corrected, click the edit button and it will take you back
to the page where you can edit the information.
