My name is Mihaly Fabsk. We are here on behalf of Expert Village. Also we are here to learn
about white wines. This wine, it is a very famous wine from Hungary. This wine is made
from a local grape variety, called Juhfark, it is very famous in the Somls wine region,
which is one of the smallest wine regions in Hungary. This region is located in the
middle of the western part of the country and a small family producer makes this wine.
When you taste the wine, the first impression you can feel a nice minerality because of
the volcanic soil, so the specialty of this region, the volcanic soil, so the wine has
a nice, complex flavor, complex acidity, and a very long finish. And this quite high acidity
helps to keep the wine for up to five years or more. Actually, it is not too fruity, but
you can feel a nice rich mineral flavor and character. So this vintage year was 2005.
This wine is still developing, but it's excellent to enjoy this wine with strongly flavored
foods.
