Hi, I'm Karolyn Marie Roberts and welcome to episode 13 of Koffee With Karolyn!
So I have a very important question for you. What has been the greatest day of your life
so far and why? Do you remember the exact date? I know what mine was. The greatest day
of my life was June 16th, 2007. It was a Saturday. That was the day I found out I was having
a baby girl and had my first Ultrasound and saw my daughters face for the first time.
Some women say it was the day they gave birth, but there really isn't anything fun about
giving birth! I feel that I met my daughter the day I had my first Ultrasound. I had always
dreamt about having a daughter and the feeling of joy that I felt that day is something I'll
never forget. I remember walking out of the doctors office at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles
and I vividly remember walking to my car on that sunny day. I was smiling and was the
happiest I had ever been in my life. It was a level of happiness and completeness that
I've never felt before in my life.
They say having a child changes your life and boy is that an understatement! My life
was certainly changed that day forever and for the better! Two months later, I moved
from Los Angeles where I was born and raised and had spent the first 30 years of my life
and I got on a plane to Charlotte, North Carolina where my family had retired to, to give my
daughter a better life. My daughter is almost 6 now and my how the years have flown! I have
watched her transform from a precious, happy baby into a beautiful toddler and now she's
on the verge of turning six, going on sixteen! She plays dress up all the time by putting
on my bras, jewelry and shoes! Recently she even asked me what she should name her children!
Where did my baby go!!! That precious baby girl has turned into the most beautiful, intelligent,
hilarious, kind, insightful and caring little girl. Just yesterday I watched as she held
the door for some people at a store as we were leaving. She is also little miss social
butterfly and is unafraid to talk to anybody, anytime. I watch her walk up both adults and
children everyday and start conversation. She loves everybody and everybody loves her.
Peyton, I am so grateful and blessed to be your Mommy. You have saved my life. I dedicate
this episode to the greatest love of my life, Peyton Alexis Beatrice Rose...and I dedicate
it to ALL the daughters of the world. Each and every one of you are incredibly special.
Please tell me about your daughter! Write to me at Koffeewithkarolyn@gmail.com and tell
me how your daughter has changed your life!!!
