So on this video we are going to do an Icy Marble gel nail.
We have already done a stiletto and acrylic.
So we have already got our base and we are just doing the gel design on top.
You need to start off by applying a thin layer of clear gel to the whole nail.
Again making sure that you don't touch the skin with the gel.
Nice and thin.
Then we are going to apply some blue cracked ice,
over the smile line,
the client's natural smile line.
And this is so you don't have to do a smile line in salon,
so you have a little bit more time to play with the design nails.
And just tapping it on with your brush.
So next we are going to actually work on the marble on the free edge.
We've got a bright blue.
We are just running through the nail.
We've got a light blue,
and then we've got a white.
It is not a too brighter white because I don't want to make it stand out too much.
Give your brush a wipe
and then just use the tip of your brush just to merge those colours together
by drawing little swirls into the nail but not too much,
we don't just want the colours to merge together.
And that needs to into the lamp for 3 minutes.
We are going to give this nail depth so we are going to put another layer of marbling on top of that,
so that when you look at it you can see there are different layers in it.
So again a nice layer of clear gel.
Nice thin one.
I am only painting it onto the free edge because we are not doing any marbling down here
so we don't need it down there.
And then again in with your colours.
Move them around with the point of your brush if you need to
and back into the lamp for 3 minutes.
So we are going to cap this whole nail in our clear gel now.
So a thin layer over the whole entire nail,
taking a bit of extra care around
that cracked ice make sure you that you get all the way around it
so there's no air pockets.
And then your build layer.
Place it on. Run it down the whole nail
and let it settle.
Point of your brush to move it if you need to
I'm going to put another build layer on just because that cracked ice is seated quite high.
Make sure your stress point is in the right place
and then that can go back into the lamp for 3 minutes.
Take the sticky residue off
and then this nail is ready for filing.
You will file through some of the cracked ice that's on there
so it'll be sticking up a little bit.
Now to finish off this nail we are going do a diamante cluster.
So get rid of your dust.
We are going to paint a layer of your gel top coat onto the nail.
And then you are going to use a variety of different size diamantes.
Starting off with your biggest ones.
Then move into a medium size
and then onto your small.
So then onto your small ones.
You are just filling in any little gaps with these small ones.
And that wants to go into the lamp for about 30 seconds.
Then you are going to put another layer of gel top coat on.
Some of the diamantes might still move
so be nice and gentle when you're putting this next layer on.
And back in for a full 2 minutes.
Finish this nail off with some cuticle oil
and don't forget to go underneath because this is quite a transparent nail.
And massage it in.
And that's the gel marble done with a diamate cluster.
