I first started Martial Arts at the age of 19. I once watched my classmates fighting face-to-face at one of the lessons and it scared the hell out of me!
Next day I went to wrestling workout in the central army sports club. I was refused because of age. They told me “it is too late, go home”!
In a week I went to Ivan Yarygin Sports palace, the Russian Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling. I went in for wrestling for about a year.
After that I engaged in hand-to-hand combats, combat sambo, etc.
Russian MMA are much younger than world MMA. However, they grow more and more popular. New shows appear, Russian fighters take part in UFC and Bellator competitions.
Presence of our country fellows in these tournaments will only grow over time. Go ahead!
I participated in Russian hand-to-hand combat competitions.
I took only the third place at the Russian championship in combat sambo, but managed to fulfill the norms and requirements for the title of master of sport.
Currently I live in Moscow and train for sports in Fait-baza club and Berkut under supervision of Musaev Akhmed.
I like to watch all types of fights: MMA, grappling, boxing, freestyle wrestling and adopt something for myself. I try to use all methods that fit me.
I have been thinking a lot about the first tournament in UFC. I do not believe that nobody is worried and nervous before fight.
I am always like that. It is good. I made a lot of mistakes in Stockholm. It was a debut and I was in a grip of emotion. My future in UFC depended on this fight.
Signing up of the contract is the easiest thing. A huge job has been made before that.
To become a UFC fighter you have to train, show results and increase a professional skill level.
In this case the promoter will find you himself! It was my case.
My sparring partners, Jones, Condin, Khalilov, who I work with, influenced my professional advancement.
Most of all in life I love to communicate with friends and eat!
To tell you honestly, I liked the Hip Show! I was rooting for my younger brother (“Khadzhi”, “Dikaya diviziya” teams).
It reminds me of childhood, when boys fight two vs two or class vs class!
I asked the Hip Show management, can I go out and fight? Is there anyone to fight with?! I will surely come to watch the final of the Hip Show on 10th of August!
