Greetings, this is afistofirony from the FutureCraft team, and today I'll be taking you on a quick preview of the
progress we've made so far on FutureCraft.
So here we have the spawn, and inside, of course, we will have some rules. Now, we haven't really set up the rules yet, but that will come in due time.
Here we have a little pool thingy. I really have no clue what it does yet, but it'll do something cool when it's finished.
So here we have a little viewing platform. Not much to look at.
One second, let me just activate flight.
Up here, we have a little market area in which players will be able to rent out shops for some time and sell their materials to gain money.
So, that's mostly the entire upstairs area. Let's go back downstairs.
Got our trusty lift signs here, which some of you may remember from the old FutureCraft.
So this portal will take you to the games world, right here.
This one to the Nether, and this one to the End.
Here we have the admin shop and jail.
These blocks I'm zoomed in on right now are the blocks that we'll have on sale when the server opens. We still have to decide the prices
and other items players will buy and sell, but other than that the spawn is basically complete.
Moving along, we are now going to use the railway to go to Acadia, the town right outside of spawn.
So basically this rail is split into two parts: a to-rail and a from-rail.
I have a mine cart with me, so I'll just place one here like so:
Alright. Now we can push this button and head on a quick cart ride to Acadia!
We've now arrived in Acadia and can proceed to destroying our cart.
So here's your first look at Acadia. We've been hard at work on this for the past couple of weeks, and we've
accomplished quite a bit.
Apologies for the lag, I may have to turn down my render distance for a moment.
Down there, we had a few market stalls. Over here, we have Trinity Park. Compliments of flaming_kiwi26 for making this as
well as several other parks around the city.
Down here, we have several facilities such as the post office, the TV station,
the courthouse, McDonalds', a library,
a tools shop, an armoury (in the distance), and a load of other buildings.
So here we're sort of moving into the skyscraper area of town. Here's a tower made of iron blocks.
Here we have a hospital, locknot's tower, some secret buildings over there,
another park made by flaming_kiwi, and a dock.
This next one should be a familiar sight for anyone who played on Chillcraft and actively visited the City.
Yes, it is Skytäpp from the olden days! More on that in a moment.
Okay, so here we have another garden by flaming_kiwi.
The red tower is AsianD0mination's tower, the iron one is flaming_kiwi's, and the sandstone one is locknot's apartment building.
Okay, this is my building, where we did some anvil drop testing. We have a nice antenna on the top here.
Alright, let me talk a little bit about the server. So, as you've probably seen over the past few weeks, we've made a lot
of progress on the server. We've set up all of our plugins, done all of the technical stuff, et cetera, et cetera.
We've decided it's going to be a non-PvP server with another world. In that world we'll have a PvP arena, co-op games, what have you.
Moving on to Acadia itself: The city isn't quite finished yet, but we'll be working on that more over the weekend as well as finishing the other aspects of the server, such as the admin shop and LWC blocks.
So, that's pretty much it. We plan on releasing the IP to our forum members on March 2,
so be sure to keep up with that on Trello and our forums! See you at launch!
