Accessing Your NAS Part 2: Using Your NAS IP Address to Connect from Window
You can access our NAS by entering its IP address into the Windows Start Menu.
Please note that your NAS and PC must be on the same local network when using this method.
If you don’t know your NAS’s IP address, you can find it in ASUSTOR Control Center or on the LCD display of your NAS.
First, click on “Start”. Now enter two forward slashes followed by your NAS’s IP address into the “Search Programs and Files” field and then press “Enter”.
The folders from your NAS should now appear.
Now you can drag and drop files to your NAS,
create new subfolders,
and even map folders to your PC if you choose to do so.
To map a folder to your PC as a network drive, right click on it and then select “Map Network Drive”.
Specify a letter for the folder and then click on “Finish” once you are done.
In the “Computer” section, the folder should now be mapped as a network drive.
Now you will be able to drag and drop folders to your NAS using the network drive.
Now you are ready for Part 3: Remote Access Using a Web Browser
