Hi this is Kim Constable and you are watching WHAM TV your one stop shop for home business
and training and this is your work at home Wednesday.
*************** ADVERTISEMENT ***************
on Saturday night I went out for dinner with some friends who are mums at my kids school
and during the dinner I had the opportunity to chat to a work at home mum, or an inspiring
work at home mum who actually is a premium member of the work at home mumÕs network.
Now she was sharing with me that she joined the network because she has a business idea
that she wants to start from home. She works full time currently but her dream is to give
up her full time job however she was saying to me I have absolutely no idea where to begin.
It seems so much bigger to me, it seems so overwhelming that I donÕt even know how to
take the first step.
Well I gave her some advice and she left the dinner saying that she felt so much better
about the options and she felt that she could see a clear path forward because of our conversation.
And I wanted to share some of that information with you guys today because I know there are
so many of you out there who are struggling with the exact issue.
So here are the 3 top tips which I really think will help you if you are struggling
with this problem.
1. Take a hold of your time management: time management is really about how to work out
your goals, work out what you want to achieve in your life and then schedule those things
into your dairy in steps that are systematic and are well broken down. Especially something
as big as starting a business you have to get down with time management.
2. Get the support of your Spouse: you need the support of your spouse, you canÕt just
land this on your husband and go I am going to start this business and expect him to be
excited about that because you know what is going to happen all of his fears are going
to come to the surface, fear about if you are not there anymore, if you are buys for
the family, what if you decide to leave your job.
I suggest sitting down with your husband at a time when he is open to hearing the information
and telling him about your idea if you can get him onboard, you can show him where you
have a plan, where you have an idea and how you would value his support to take it forward
you are going to find him so much supportive.
And you know what happens when he is more supportive? You have a greater chance of success.
3. You need money and Resources: Starting a business requires some kind of investment,
you are going to need a website, you are going to need a promotional material or advertising
or if you donÕt have the money then you need to work towards getting it. Otherwise you
are just goanna scare the () out of yourself.
You are going to spend the money you have, you are going to spend the money you donÕt
have, you are going to cause you husband or your significant other to get terrified because
they see you spending all this money and nothing coming in, in short, you need to plan.
You need to have a business plan, figure out what your costs are going to be and then work
towards that money, starting a business and growing will take you far, far longer than
you ever could imagine. But the wonderful thing about knowing this you donÕt need to
overwhelm, you just need to start and start working on it a little bit every single day
and soon all those little bits will add up to something huge and suddenly you have a
really profitable business.
Now I want to hear from you guys, what makes you to go overwhelm whenever you think about
starting or growing an existing business.

home. I did it and you can do it too, I believe in you. This is Kim Constable and I will see
