Hello! This is titled "Flu symptoms."
Have you ever had the flu?
The flu, or influenza, is a virus that spreads easily from person to person.
People can feel very sick when they have the flu.
The flu usually comes on suddenly. Many people know the exact day or time they became sick.
Cold symptoms tend to come on gradually and slowly get worse.
Watch for these symptoms; they may mean you have the flu.
You could have a severe headache, high fever, chills, feeling hot and cold,
a very bad dry cough, a sore throat, body and muscle aches and pains, or exhaustion.
Some people may have a runny or stuffy nose.
Some people are at high risk, especially the elderly, babies, people with heart problems, or asthma.
If you have the flu and are in this group, the flu can be life-threatening.
Sometimes when you have the flu, you can also become very sick with bronchitis or pneumonia.
Most of the time, the flu goes away in about one week
but for some, cough and fatigue may last for several weeks.
If you think you have the flu, call your healthcare provider.
Thank you!
