Hi I'm Harry Schechter with Temperature@lert and today I'm here to introduce you to the
latest version of our wifi temperature sensors.
The latest version of temperature@lert wifi sensor continues the success of the previous
generation of devices.
The unit continually monitors the temperature and humidity and sends you an email if it
gets too hot or too cold.
The latest edition of temperature@lert wifi edition now includes two sensor jacks allowing
you to monitor two temperature points using only one base station. This significantly
reduces the overall cost per point when monitoring temperature. In addition, the unit now accepts
temperature and humidity sensors.
THe pre-drilled mounting flanges on either side of the unit facilitate mounting to most
surfaces.
One of things that sets this device apart from others is that it runs Linux. That's
right this little device is essentially a mini computer running an open source operating
system. The benefit to you is that should you need to customize this device you can
do it easily. Do you like to program in PERL? Simply install the package. Do you prefer
Ruby? Simply install the package. Finally, the new unit adds power over ethernet support.
Included in the box is of course the base station itself, an antenna, the power adapter,
and one six foot temperature sensor. Additional temperature and humidity sensors are available
from our website temperaturealert.com.
The only requirements for this unit are power and either wifi or wired ethernet connectivity.
Once you've got those two things, you'll be able to monitor the temperature of just about
anything.
