It's now been a long time that the school has tried to establish relationships within the business world and the territory.
Often we are able to create through different pathways internships.
In this initiative, co-production of a sofa, which is called # divanoXmanagua, Berto Salotti has given us a great opportunity.
The project has involved the school and more directly our students.
We have the opportunity to join a company
in a completely new way, by co-designing a sofa that will be put into production and subsequently sold.
Our students will participate in the entire process: from design to the final sale.
It 'a rare opportunity for us.
The school achieves three goals:
The first is it puts the school in contact with the real world
not only from the point of view of work but also in terms of instructional design,
and this is a novelty.
The second is that students work with enthusiasm on a real project
and to see it visually on the web is a tool that they use most frequently.
The third objective is to have a look at the social aspects
and sensitivity to the world around us.
In this case the proceeds of the sale will be donated to the school for carpenters in Managua, Nicaragua.
This means that the kids will also work for the good of their peers, who will reap the benefits of this initiative.
For us it is a valuable experience.
Berto Salotti has given us the 'opportunity to have a direct relationship with
the designers, their team of artisans and to meet the company.
The initiative has a very important added value for the students and for the school as a whole:
it establishes a link between the importance of school and the working world.
We thank Berto Salotti for inviting us to participate, we do it with enthusiasm.
The same enthusiasm that our students have shown from the very first moment.
