Hey guys! Stu here.
So my Beretta PX4 Storm video, it's one of my more popular videos.
It's actually, even though it's only been out for 6 months, it's my third most popular video.
You know, I don't have like 10 billion views on it or anything. But, you know, it's up there.
For a guy with only 250 subscribers, it's doing pretty well.
And, of course, with views come comments & suggestions & recommendations -- some of them are awesome, some of them not so awesome.
But I did get this recommendation, which I thought was pretty awesome.
Now initially I was like, "Oh man, is this guy trolling me?"
But, uh, and so initially I was like, "Wow, that is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard!
"Although, I guess I shouldn't knock it until I try it!"
So I decided to try it, and here's what we came up with.
[Indecipherable chatter played back at high speed]
Aaaauuuugghhhh! Aaahh I got a cramp in my foot! Oh! Ah...
[More indecipherable, high-speed chatter]
Aaah! My foot!
Yep! So obviously I suck with my feet too.
Ian: Who cares? We're going to blow it up anyway!
Okay! Now after doing that, uh... that wasn't a true shooting-with-my-feet attempt
because I actually used my hand to stabilize the gun, and then used my foot to pull the trigger.
It's not really shooting with my feet now, is it? It's shooting with my hand and my foot.
And so I stumbled across this video of Michael. I don't know him or anything, I just saw this video.
So Michael here has no arms, but he still owns a gun and he still goes shooting.
He shoots with his feet. I mean this is a legitimate foot- shooting guy. So I learned a little bit from the master.
I said, "Okay, this is the way to do it." And so I thought I might give that a try.
And, of course, I decided to dry fire it first to make sure it's safe, and here's what happened.
Alright guys. Here I am in my garage.
So after seeing the way that Michael shoots with his feet, I thought I would give his method a try
and make it a truly foot-fired attempt, as was recommended to me. And hopefully be more accurate that way.
So before I actually go out and fire a live round for real, we always want to practice dry firing before firing that live round.
I mean, I don't want to do something wrong and have some of my toes ripped off by the slide or something.
So we're going to do some, uh... we're going to try a dry fire and see how it goes.
Weapon is clear, ready to fire.
Now...
No comments about my nasty toe nails allowed.
I'm trying to pull the trigger. I'm having a hard time.
[Click of the hammer falling]
Now that wasn't too bad, but something I realized right away is I am just not adept enough with my feet
to get a really good grip on this and really hold it steady.
My main concern is that, when I pull the trigger, that when the slide operates it will come back and gouge my foot.
So... sorry guys, but I'm going to give up on the shooting-with-my-feet recommendation.
Call me a coward if you like, but I just don't have the dexterity with my feet that Michael has.
Oh, hey! There's the M&P22.
I don't know. M&P22 with my feet?
Nah!
Sorry guys. Call me a coward if you like, but I'm completely wimping out on this because I just don't want to...
I mean, I have these crazy imaginations in my mind of my foot getting tore up and my toes getting cut up
when something goes really wrong -- or even worse than that, something else goes wrong and I shoot something that I'm not supposed to.
I'm just not that dextrous with my feet and I don't feel comfortable.
More importantly, I don't feel safe firing live rounds through it.
And so... sorry guys!
You're probably watching this video, "Oh my gosh! Stu's gonna shoot the PX4 Storm with his feet!"
Nah. Not really.
Don't worry, We've got more videos coming!
And remember, stay safe out there. Don't shoot with your feet unless you can do so safely, like Michael.
So I'll see you next time!
