Hi everyone. Today I'm taking a look at Robots versus Zombies.
Now in this game which is very similar to Angry Birds
you are a robot armed with bullets
and there are zombies on each level and what you're going to have to do is destroy the
zombies
complete the level, get your stars and move on
and you're awarded a certain number of stars depending on how well you do
so how many bullets you have left over at the end for instance. Now
a lot of the zombies require a couple of hits or a direct hit to
fully destroy as you can see there and it does sometimes make the game a
slightly frustrating experience when the physics goes a little bit wrong.
We also found that on some levels you can just be sat there for a very long
time attempting to work out
exactly how to actually complete it. It doesn't always seem to be a logical
solution.
Now the gameplay is really really fun
and the way the zombies explode and are animated is really engaging.
There's a lot of fun here to be had however
these moments where the game just becomes frustrating
really take away from what can be a really fun experience.
This isn't the Angry Birds frustration where you seem to kick yourself with, oh I didn't
realise I had to do it like that,
it seems to be a little bit more a case of just
illogical level design in many respects but that said Robots v Zombies is a
title that I find myself picking up and playing
more often than I would any other title at the moment.
It has that just one more game feel.
Just one more go or ah I must've got that wrong I'll
have another try at it or another cry when I fail particularly
but Robots v Zombies is certainly a well
made game and one that's going to keep you entertained for you know,
longer than just five minutes. The advertising does get a little bit
annoying
appearing on screen all the time at the bottom as well as a
I should say pop overs but you know we can forgive the developers for wanting to
make money
and provide a free game at the same time. The game
Robots v Zombies is certainly worth picking up this weekend.
You'll have an awful lot of fun with it.
