First Burgohondo Friends event, May 4th, 2013
The springtime brimming with life between the majestic mountain ranges of Gredos and La Paramera
People from Ireland, France, Holland and from all over Spain
A place which attracts
There is a place
There is a place to gather, as lonely as you may feel
There is a place for faith, as unbeliever as you might be
There is life and someone that is beside you
The day started with a 2-hour trek surrounded by the twittering of nightingales, a symphony of fragances and a variety of colours
A generous space for intimacy and conversation, welcomes and gatherings
Time to gather while we tasted the daily bread, sober and abundant, under the protection of holm oaks and junipers
Under a holm oak a handicrafts workshop was carried out
Itinerancia y promesa Burgohondo project was presented
It emerges in the splendour of the gift in which our lives take root, in the generosity of the earth
Where faith becomes an open, free, welcoming place
A permanent welcoming of and listening to the mystery of "the gratuitous", the overflowing
In a didactic, poetic way we were introduced to the visible and invisible of nature
There was an esculant and generous toast, full of delicacy, abundance and kindness
We were even told a tale about a firefly embodying the origin and vastness of creation
And then, the moment we had all been expecting came
The mystery of music appeared in an impressive, natural amphitheatre
Seamus, the Irish musician and monk, dressed in intense blue, brought in his voice a singing angel, and in his flute, the deep sound of the earth
That afternoon, Seamus was the incarnation of music. This man is music. His being is deep and intimate sound
As every great artist, Seamus had excellent support singers
Our profound gratitude for this immense day of celebration
Burgohondo itinerancia y promesa is now a reality
