Today's Del Oro news show will take you on a tour of the culinary department kitchen.
Also, this week everyone's wearing pink to support breast cancer at teh Del Oro annual
tackle for the cure football game.
It's a busy week for athletics all around the world.
We've got the highlights and the upcoming news on the NFL, the MLB, and of course
Del Oro sports. And there's so much more heading your way, so sit back, relax,a nd
enjoy the show.
Good morning Golden Eagles, I'm Jansen Engelbrecht. And I'm Lida Landre.
Quick reminder that tomorrow we have a morning rally so meet in the Bonner gym
at 9:40 a.m.
and don't forget. The rest of the we will be on the morning rally schedule.
Don't book plans just yet for Friday night.
Bring all your friends along to come cheer your golden eagle football team to
victory at our annual tackle for the cure against evada Union. What's a tackle
for the cure you might say? Every year Del Oro high school dedicates one night entirely
devoted to support breast cancer.
What better way to celebrate than with a win from our boys varsity football team.
All golden eagles will wear pink instead of our usual black and gold to show our support for
the breast cancer foundation.
You can check out our student store located in the cafeteria to purchase your own
pink game appearal.
Shirts will range in prices from $12 to $15. It's a musical weekend
in the town of Loomis.
Here's a look at two of Del Oro's most talented groups:
the dance team and Del Oro band. That's America's best dance group.
Only Chuck Noris and Del Oro dance can kick that high.
Here we have the band spectacular.
And Del Oro closes out the night with their amazing light show.
Need a t.v.? Maybe even for free? Well, come by the office and buy a raffle ticket
to have a chance to win and kick a field goal and win a free t.v. at half time during the
varsity football game.
Use that extra money you didn't spend on a new t.v. to make a donation at the ticket booth
on your way into the game.
Good luck to all of our football teams.
How did our other athletes do this week? Let's check in with
Jessika Brehmer for our golden eagle primetime sports report.
Thanks guys. Good morning, I'm Jessika Brehmer here with your
primetime sports report.
Our DO water polo teams beat out the Rocklin thunder on Tuesday. Varsity girl
Holly Jarvis was excited for her team's win against the long-time rivals.
On to volleyball. Our J.V. girl's team won their first league game against Rocklin,
losing the first game 25-9, but pulling back the second and third games
with scores of 25-23 and 15-9.
Good job girls!
Last Friday the entire black hole traveled to the grizzly stadium to teach
their so-called "tribe" how real fans cheer for their team.
Although the score didn't end up in our favor we still left a lasting impression on the
entire Granite Bay Community.
Thanks to the eagles for going out there and making it happen. It wouldn't have
been possible without you guys.
It was a night of celebration for the Giants fans Monday night.
Sorry K. Stow.
Taking on the Cardinals one last time in game seven, San Francisco pumbled
the Cardinals team with a score of 9-0.
The Giants went on to play Detroit in the first game last night.
Winning 8-3 San Fransisco had a great game with highlights from Pablo Sandoval
who had a
great and amazing three for three run.
All right NFL fans, it's time to catch up with week seven in the
world of football.
This week's top games include local favorites such as the Saints,
Raiders, adn the Steelers.
For all the 49er's fans out there; the San Fransisco team took on the
Seattle Sea Hawks.
They held off the Sea Hawks and won the division opener with a score of 13 to 6.
A couple of upcoming games to look out for on Sunday are the Saints vs.
the Buckaneers and the Raiders vs. the Jaguars.
But enough about football. Let's get back to Jansen and Lida to see
what happens in the kitchen. I'm Jessika Brehmer. Thanks for watching golden eagle
prime time.
Thanks Jessika.
While playing such tiresome sports you may work up an appetite. Let's see how
the culinary department is working to stop this hunger.
Basic cooking skills so when I get to college I can cook for myself.
Mmmm bread bowls. Those look good. Before we leave you it's time for the first instagram
pic of the week.
This amazing picture
was tagged by Lauren Fardos captioned "football games at there finest". It seems like they
had a great time. Make sure you follow her at the username located at the bottom
