DAVID GIBSON: In this next clip of advance pottery, we're going to talk about pulling.
I'm going to continue to pull up and out. Don't want to get too thin in here, keeping
it thicker at the bottom than it is at the top and again, a nice, equal pressure. I can--I'm
throwing this a little bit thicker and I can trim some of this away later on, keeping it
heading up and out and my rim tight. You can see how it's starting to come out on me here.
We get a little bit more clay out of here; get it a little thinner. I'm lining my fingers
up. You don't want to go too fast with the wheel here where it'll start to sit down on
me. I'm starting to pull this out. Again, every time, keeping my rim tight, compressed,
compress and compress. So we're getting there. Starting to get the basic form of our platter
here.
