Hello everyone!
Today we're going to learn one of the basic XCM moves which is The Charlier Cut
It's a very important move due to the fact that many more complicated moves start with this one
Therefore it's so important to learn it propoerly
Let's begin then ;-)
Let's begin then ;-)
How does a charlier cut look like?
it's simple as that...
Let's start the tutorial now.
First we need to know the grip, which looks like this ...
It's very important to keep it stable with those four fingers!! (the thumb isn't even used yet)
We put the thumb to the position as shown on the screen - from now no the thumb is responsible for holding the deck in this angle.
Next, we take out the index finger as shown.
Next try to extend your thumb so it touches only the top half of the deck.. automaticly, the lower half should fall down... like shown on the screen.
Then we use the index finger to push the packet to the thumb.
The ending part of the charlier cut might be a little difficult cause there are some diffrences in the size of our hands.
My hands are a little bit small, therefore I use a bit diffrent method than my friends.
In the end there might be a situation that your thumb will be too short to hold the upper packet. Then you will have to laydown the top packet on the lower one.
And then you just simply push win your index finger to finish the cut..
Every move has it's own variations, the charlier cut also has a few. For Exmaple:
