Hello and welcome to this Nutshell For 2014!
First and foremost, I wish you a year full of interesting challenges, good health and
the strength to keep working for a better tomorrow.
In this year's Nutshell we will talk about children, choices, technology, our hidden
leaders, but most importantly: the leader inside you.
In recent years, we have witnessed the highest acceleration of human evolution.
Never before in the recorded history of this planet, have we found ourselves in this unique
position. A position that presents both dangerous consequences as well as magnificent opportunities.
This awakening process has many more possibilities.
We have the ability to realise that we are all one species. Each of one us needs food,
access to clean water, love, warmth, a home, something to believe in.
And if we are so convinced of what we believe in is right, why don't we just keep our beliefs
to ourselves and enjoy them with like-minded neighbours on this planet?
Why do we need to convince each other that our belief is right?
In fact, who are we — nothing more than a 7 billion ant hive on a blue ball floating
in this gigantic Universe — who are we, to tell others that our beliefs are right
— and theirs are wrong?
Have judgements ever led to anything else but conflict?
Isn't it time for us to take the next step?
As soon as that question is asked, we start looking to others to take initiative.
And we are creative if it comes to our expectations and demands of others. It can be our political
leaders, our neighbours, our schoolmaster, our board of directors or even God.
And in recent decades we have even come to look at technology as the all-powerful human
muse to fix our problems.
Looking at the current state of our planet, technology has become synonymous with delaying
and making problems more severe, as well as passing them on to future generations. Just
think about the use of chemical weapons, the voyeurism and time-wasting on Facebook, the
Fukushima nuclear disaster and so on. Or how technology is used to overcomplicate things,
like the global financial markets , which have become so complex, that even our beloved
world leaders don’t seem to fully understand the scope nor the consequences of its complexity.
The concealed danger of technology, is that it dodges responsibility for the current generation.
Technology did not come in to our existence as a solution to our problems, it was merely
a poisoned gift from our brains that enabled us to be lazy. As people are increasingly
required to act as robots, robots and machines are now less than a decade away from being
able to emotionalise their actions through artificial intelligence.
Technology postpones the issues at hand in a comfortable way. The real issues need to
be fixed in 7 billion brains.
What is required today is a paradigm shift unlike any we have ever seen in history.
It is no longer about capitalism, socialism, communism, but about abolishing greed.
It's not about right or wrong, or the endless debating; but about doing something sustainable
today.
It is about each of our individual actions, and about reflecting on how they can be beneficial
- not just for us, but for our environment, our children and their children.
It's not about me or you, us or them, it's about all of us together.
We naturally want to follow, and that's all right, we can't help it, it's in our genes.
But how about a little initiative? Isn't human history a living testimony to us following
each other?
Our species are healing deep wounds from the past, and as with all wounds the younger heal
far faster and better than the older generations.
The current older generation is brought up with the idea that mindless grabbing goes
without punishment. The destruction they have brought upon the future generations is not
even measurable at this stage, but will be far more than we all anticipate.
It's no secret that the older we get the harder it is to adapt or change. This is a well-known
fact, and is the main reason we send our kids to school as early as they can walk. A coherent
global community starts with imprinting the same values into each potential future member
of it. And where schooling stops, propaganda and brainwashing start, subtly camouflaged
as entertainment.
This is not a conspiracy, it is how humans function as social beings, longing and looking
for a peer group to belong to.
But is that the best purpose these malleable children can serve in our global community?
Wouldn't it be interesting to give these newcomers to our planet a voice?
How are we supposed to evolve when only those who have been here for over a half a century
are in charge of decision making?
If a human body starts losing its performance beyond 40 years of age, wouldn't that include
the brain too? The only thing these grey-haired people have, is age and experience. And they're
mostly male too.
Yes, wisdom comes with age, yet hardly ever we mention the toll ageing takes on us. We
only have to look at our kids, to realise the things that silently erode and slip away
as we grow older. We lose creativity, innocence, fantasy, inspiration, playfulness, and so
many other things.
So these dull, overly serious, corporate robot-types that care more about human invented paradigms
like time and money rule the world.
And only when you become as dull, narrow focussed, serious and hypocritical like them, you may
join their team. But you have to be really serious and dull about it, because the seats
are numbered and limited.
That's how we have successfully maintained a century old system. This system is broken
in so many ways, it has become unjustified to keep it in place. Not surprisingly, the
biggest victims of this broken system, are those very kids we refuse to listen to.
So let us listen to them. Let them have their say. Let us answer their questions honestly.
Especially when they ask fundamental questions like how is money created? Or where do we
come from? Why do we pay taxes? Let us be more humble and admit we don’t know, when
we don’t know the answer. And let’s not brainwash them with theories that simply can’t
be proven.
Allow them to discover the realities of this world that we created, and ask them if they
would like us to keep going the way we are. Because ultimately, we are living in their
world, and not the other way around.
The future manifests through those who stand up.
Today I am standing up. It might not be much, but this is my face, this is my message, and
I ask you, from human to human, across borders, genders, religions and races to join me.
It’s important to remind ourselves, that our similarities far outnumber our differences.
Real change comes through those who stand up.
Thank you, and may the Universe continue to bless these United States Of Earth.
