You can log-in to check-in as an administrator with your user ID and password
One of the great things about Check-In is that you can use the program specifically to your needs and preferences.
So whether you just want to use the software,
or whether you want to incorporate sophisticated hardware
like touch-screens and barcode scanners,
you can decide what is going to be best for your situation
So here in system preferences I’m going to select my hardware
that I’m going to be using at this kiosk or check-in station
I can select barcode scanners, label printers,
claim ticket types and styles, and more
The great thing is that all of this can be determined and set up for this particular check-in station
Another neat thing that I can do is determine what will print
on the sticker badges and receipts and the type of check-in station that this will be
I could determine that this will be an unmanned or “self-check” kiosk
that does not require a staff member
This way members can simply check themselves into the event
very quickly and easily.
If I select that I can also choose
how I want them to identify themselves to the system
and Check-In is giving me a couple choices here
between their envelope number in Servant Keeper or the Check-In assigned passcode
It’s also very easy to set up badges for the system
and this is very helpful because a lot of times people have allergies
or special needs things they want you to be aware of, when they are dropping off their children
Other times they may leaven items with the children
such as a diaper bag, or bottle with medicine
and you want to make sure you can identify those items with that child
Check-in will print stickers for those items
with matching identifiers so you know who those items belong to
Now these things will show up right on the badge sticker and labels
for the teachers who will be caring for the child
And all these things are great things that will make sure the children are safe
will make sure things go smoothly at check-in
make things easier for the parents and teachers
and provide for an all around great experience at check-in and check-out
And here is a simple example of a sticker badge that would print out at this station
