To access Web of Science, go to the Library’s homepage.
Once you are on the Library's homepage, click the down arrow next to Research.
Choose Databases by Title.
Scroll down and click W.
Select Web of Knowledge from the list that comes up. If you are off-campus, you will need to enter your Patriots information to logon.
Click Web of Science to search for information.
Enter your search terms. You can search by keyword, author, publication name, and more.
Once you have entered your search terms, hit Search.
To further refine your results, use the checkboxes on the left side of the page.
Once you have found an article, click on the title to pull up additional information.
To view how many times an article has been cited, look at the blue bar on the left.
Click the number to view the citations.
To get a visual of this information, use the Citation Map link, which is covered in more detail in the Advanced Web of Knowledge video.
If you would like to open an article that you have found in Web of Science, click on the Connect to Full Text button.
Once you have opened an article, you can Save, Print, or E-mail it.
To save your search results, you will need to create an account. Choose Sign In from the links at the top of the page.
Select Register and follow the prompts to create an account.
When you are done, click Submit Changes.
