This is Joe Wiles with the Rock and Roll Conservatory on behalf of Expert Village. We're going to
talk about the five versions of the D chord. The first one's easy. It's the D chord with
the D chord form in the open position. Now, this is where the exception comes in. We don't
fret the highest fret we're currently fretting. We lose a fret when we go from the D and cycle
back around to the C chord form. We're going to barre the second fret and we're going to
play the C chord form. This is a D chord with the C chord form, that easy. In the next segment
we're going to talk about the next two versions of the D chord. I'll see you there.
