Hi, my name is Josh and today and today Iím going to show you how to make this layered
Pocket Card kit. There are two centerpieces of this Pocket Card and the first is the Pocket
Card itself. You can see the response items inside the pocket. And if I lift this Vellum
Overlay, you can get a better look at the beautiful Japanese Chiyogami layer. Now there
are actually eight items so what Iíll do is tell you about each item as we go.
The foundation of this invitation ensemble is our Antique Gold Pocket Card. And I think
it looks so nice with the Chiyogami layer. This is a Japanese Spring Flowers Chiyogami.
Iíve actually cut it to 4 7/8ths by 6 7/8ths and Iím going to apply it to the back of
this Pocket Card. You can get two cuts from an 8 Ω x 11 sheet which is how they can be
ordered on our site. Iím just going to use a little bit of Glue Stick and Iíll line
it up as best I can. Again, the Chiyogami is a flowering vine or tree climbing a trellis and it really looks
nice with the Goldóthe Antique Gold.
Now I will secure my invitation card, which Iíve already printed using a laser printer.
The card is cut to 4 º inches by 6 º inches and again you can get two cuts from an 8 Ω
x 11 sheet.
Now to embellish this invitation Iím going to use a vellum layeróproduct code is GN57OL.
Itís an overlay that fits perfectly for an invitation sized like this. No need to cut;
itís available as is from LCI Paper. And Iíve embellished it with our Gold Spiral
Clip. I donít particularly like using glue on vellum so thatís why I chose to go with
the clip. And of course itís gold and it really looks nice with this invitation which,
coincidentally, I was inspired by the lavish, ornamental costumes and sets from the 2006
Chinese film, Curse of the Golden Flower.
To finish up, weíll just add our response items. This is an Ecru Response Folder. Of
course itís pre-scoredóvery easy to fold. Iíll place it in the Antique Gold Respond
Envelope like this and just place it inside the pocket.
And Iíll finish by using this beautiful Antique Gold matching envelope. It is sized 5 º by
7 º and I can carefully insert it.
I hope you enjoyed making this Pocket Card invitation with me today. We have many other
Japanese patterns to choose from and a nice selection of Pocket Cards as well so you can
really put something together that suits your tastes. Now if you have any further questions
about making this kit or how to choose different items to make a Pocket Card invitation, post
a comment. Weíd love to hear from you.
