Volunteering for Income Management is a way to help you manage your money.
A percentage of your payments will be used to pay for essential household needs
and expenses for you and your family.
Your payments will not reduce but the way you receive them will change.
Through volunteering for Income Management
and access to free financial management services
you can learn to better manage your finances in the long term.
You can volunteer to have your income managed money paid
directly to stores, landlords or other service providers
to pay for your purchases, rent and bills.
You can also spend your income managed money by using the BasicsCard
which is a PIN-protected card that uses EFTPOS facilities
in a wide range of stores and businesses.
If you volunteer for Income Management,
you may be able to get a payment of $250
for every 26 continuous weeks that you volunteer.
There is also free and confidential financial management services you can access.
