Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be talking about
electrical safety. First and foremost, the cord is the lifeline of your tool. You want
to make sure that it is in good working condition. You want to make sure there are no cracks
or tears or breaks in the cord and if there is, you want to repair that immediately. This
tools is double insulated and equipped with a polarized plug meaning that one of the prongs
is bigger than the other. Now this is only going to fit into the outlet one way. If you
are trying to plug it in and it doesn't go in, flip the plug over and try again. If it
still doesn't work, there may be something wrong with the plug or the outlet. It is not
recommended to use an extension cord with this tool but if you have to, make sure you
are using one of the correct rating so that it doesn't damage the tool or cause a fire.
And lastly you want to make sure you never carry the tool by the cord. This can cause
damage to both the tool and the cord and it is just not good practice.
