So you need to replace a cartridge in your HP Printer. Let’s walk through the steps
together. The first thing we want to do is turn the
printer on, so press the Power button. Next, open the ink cartridge access door of
the printer. Wait until the carriage stops moving and then
gently press the cartridge down. The cartridge releases, so you can remove it.
Now, take the new cartridge out of its package. Using the pink pull tab, carefully remove
the protective tape. When handling the cartridges be aware of the
electrical contacts and ink nozzles. Be careful not to touch the contacts or nozzles
because touching these can cause clogs, ink failure, and poor electrical connections.
Make sure that you install each cartridge into its correct slot. Tri-color on the left.
Black on the right. Place the new cartridge into the slot and
gently but firmly push it straight in until it pops into place.
When the cartridges are in, close the ink cartridge access door of the printer.
Press the OK button to confirm the installation of genuine HP cartridges, when prompted.
Load plain white paper in the paper tray. Follow the instructions on the control panel
display to print the alignment page. An alignment page will print.
Lift the scanner lid. Load the alignment page face down on the front right corner of the
glass. Close the lid and then press OK to complete
the alignment. Your printer is now ready for regular use.
